Goodness-of-fit test method

1. A method for examining how well (or poorly) a sample of data can be described by a hypothesized probability distribution for the population.
2. A procedure for critiquing and evaluating the potential inadequacies of a probability distribution model with respect to its fitness to represent a particular set of observations.
