1. The place where an organism lives and its surrounding environment, including its biotic and abiotic components. Habitat includes everything an organism needs to survive.

2. Place where a plant or animal lives, often characterized by a dominant plant form and physical characteristics. (PERTAINING TO ECOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS)
