Impervious

1. A hardened surface or area that does not allow water to pass through. For example, roads, rooftops, driveways, sidewalks, pools, patios and parking lots are all impervious surfaces.
2. Incapable of being penetrated. Secondary containment structures must be sufficiently impervious to the types of products stored within the area of containment.
