1. The resources forgone either to participate in an intervention or as the result of a health condition (such as earnings forgone because of loss of time from work). [USDA 2004]
2. Any cost not directly identified with a single final cost objective, but identified with two or more final cost objectives or with at least one intermediate cost objective.
