Microclimate

1. A microclimate is a climate in a small area that varies significantly from the overall climate of a region. Microclimates are formed by natural or man-made geography and topography, such as hills, buildings, and the presence or absence of trees and vegetation.
2. Localized climate conditions within an urban area or neighborhood.
3. The climate around a tree or shrub or a stand of trees.
4. The climate structure of the air space near the surface of the earth.
5. The climate of a small area such as a cave, house, city or valley that may be different from that in the general region.
