Minimum Reporting Level (regulatory)

The value and unit of measure at or above which the concentration of the contaminant must be measured using the approved analytical methods. The MRL is the minimum concentration of each analyte that must be reported to EPA. The MRL is an estimate of the quantitation limit. Assuming good instrumentation and experienced analysts, an MRL is achievable, with 95% confidence, by 75% of laboratories nationwide. {OW/TSC}
