NIST-Traceable Standard Value

Relating to a standard value that can be related to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology)-stated references through an unbroken chain of comparisons, all having stated uncertainties, as specified in NIST Technical Note 1297 (incorporated by reference in § 1065.1010). Allowable uncertainty limits specified for NIST-traceability refer to the propagated uncertainty specified by NIST.
