Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-018945
1. A procedure for making statistical inferences without assuming that the population distribution has any specific form such as normal or lognormal. Sometimes referred to as distribution-free methods. Common examples are the sign test, Spearman rank correlation, and the bootstrap-t approach.
2. A method that does not assume a functional form with identifiable parameters for the statistical distribution of interest (distribution-free methods).
