North American Industrial Classification System

1. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is the standard used by federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy.
2. NAICS is the economic classification system that replaced the 1987 SIC code system. The TRI-covered NAICS codes are listed at 40 CFR 372.23. Table I lists all industries that are covered under EPCRA Section 313 and their corresponding 2022 NAICS codes.
