Oligotrophic Lakes

1. Deep lakes that have a low supply of nutrients and thus contain little organic matter. Such lakes are characterized by high water transparency and high dissolved oxygen.
2. Deep clear lakes with few nutrients, little organic matter and a high dissolved-oxygen level.
