Operating Scenario
Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-019679
1. For the purposes of reporting and recordkeeping, a description of a PAI process unit, including: identification of each wastewater point of determination (POD) and process vent, their associated emissions episodes and durations, and their associated level of control and control devices, as applicable; calculations and engineering analyses required to demonstrate compliance; and a description of operating and/or testing conditions for any associated control device.
2. For the purposes of reporting and recordkeeping, any specific operation of an MCPU as described by records specified in § 63.2525(b).
3. For a dyeing/finishing process operation or group of process operations, the combination of operating conditions (including but not limited to, type of substrate, type and mass fraction of organic HAP in dyeing/finishing materials applied, and the process operation temperature and pressure) affecting the fraction of organic HAP applied in dyeing and finishing operations discharged to wastewater. For example, a dyeing process operation run at atmospheric pressure would be a different operating scenario from the same dyeing process operation run under pressure.
4. For the purposes of reporting and recordkeeping, any specific operation of a regulated process as described by reports specified in § 63.11985(b)(4)(ii) and records specified in § 63.11990(e)(4).
5. Any specific operation of a process and includes the information specified in paragraphs (1) through (5) of this definition for each process. A change or series of changes to any of these elements, except for paragraph (4) of this definition, constitutes a different operating scenario.(1) A description of the process, the specific process equipment used, and the range of operating conditions for the process.(2) An identification of related process vents, their associated emissions episodes and durations, and calculations and engineering analyses to show the annual uncontrolled fluorinated GHG emissions from the process vent.(3) The control or destruction devices used, as applicable, including a description of operating and/or testing conditions for any associated destruction device.(4) The process vents (including those from other processes) that are simultaneously routed to the control or destruction device(s).(5) The applicable monitoring requirements and any parametric level that assures destruction or removal for all emissions routed to the control or destruction device.
