Pocket beach

1. A small, narrow beach formed between two littoral obstacles, such as between rocky headlands or promontories that occur at the shore.

2. A small beach between two headlands. Because of this isolation, there is very little - or no - exchange of sediment between the pocket beach and the adjacent shorelines.
