Point source discharge

  1. Discharge of pollutant from a discernible, confined and discrete conveyance, including but not limited to any pipe, ditch, channel, tunnel, conduit, well, discrete fissure, or container.

  2. Discharges of treated wastewater directly into a lake, river, stream, or other water body. Point source discharges are regulated under CWA.
