Portable Container

1. Any portable device in which a material is stored, transported, treated, disposed of, or otherwise handled. [40 CFR 260.10 (CFR 2013)][40 CFR 279.1 (CFR 2013)]
2. As used in the wastewater provisions, any portable waste management unit that has a capacity greater than or equal to 0.1 m3 in which a material is stored, transported, treated, or otherwise handled. Examples of containers are drums, barrels, tank trucks, barges, dumpsters, tank cars, dump trucks, and ships.
