Potential sulfur dioxide emission rate

1. Theoretical SO2 emissions (nanograms per joule (ng/J) or lb/MMBtu heat input) that would result from combusting fuel in an uncleaned state and without using emission control systems. For gasified coal or oil that is desulfurized prior to combustion, the Potential sulfur dioxide emission rate is the theoretical SO2 emissions (ng/J or lb/MMBtu heat input) that would result from combusting fuel in a cleaned state without using any post combustion emission control systems.

2. Sulfur dioxide emission rate that would occur from combustion of MSW in the absence of any sulfur dioxide emissions control.

3. Theoretical SO2 emissions (nanograms per joule (ng/J) or lb/MMBtu heat input) that would result from combusting fuel in an uncleaned state and without using emission control systems.
