PROVISIONAL INDIRECT COST RATE

A temporary rate established for a given period to permit interim reimbursement of indirect costs pending the establishment of a permanent rate for the period. When a permanent rate is established, the indirect costs reimbursed based on the provisional rate are adjusted upward or downward to reflect the costs based on the permanent rate.
