Reforestation

1. Planting of forests on lands that have previously contained forests but that have been converted to some other use.
2. Replanting of forests on lands that have recently been harvested.
3. The natural or intentional restoration of a forest, woodland or stand of trees that had been lost due to fire, cutting or other method of deforestation.
4. The establishment of a forest through artificial plantings or natural regeneration.
