Remediation action level
Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-023767
Generally, a concentration such that remediation of all concentrations above this level in an exposure unit will result in the 95% UCL being reduced to a level that does not pose an unacceptable risk to an individual experiencing random exposures. The RAL will depend on the mean, variance, and sample size of the concentrations within an exposure unit as well as considerations of acute toxicity of the chemicals of concern.
