Rotogravure Print Station

1. Any device designed to print or coat inks on one side of a continuous web or substrate using the intaglio printing process with a gravure cylinder.

2. Print station on which a rotogravure printing operation is conducted. A rotogravure print station includes a rotogravure cylinder and supply for ink or other solids containing material. The image (type and art) to be printed is etched or engraved below the surface of the rotogravure cylinder. On a rotogravure cylinder the printing image consists of millions of minute cells.
