Sanborn Map

A Sanborn map is a record kept for insurance purposes that shows, for a specific property, the locations of such items as USTs, buildings, and areas where chemicals have been used for certain industrial processes. A Phase I environmental assessment includes a review of Sanborn maps. See also Phase I Environmental Assessment.
