Sealant

1. Substance applied to a surface used prevent fluids from permeating that surface.
2. Material used to prevent the intrusion of water, fuel, air, or other liquids or solids from certain areas of aerospace vehicles or components. There are two categories of sealants: extrudable/rollable/brushable sealants and sprayable sealants.
