Simple Random Sampling

1. A method for drawing a sample from a population such that all samples of a given size have equal probability of being drawn.
2. Most fundamental type of probabilistic sampling. Sampling locations are selected completely at random from a population of possible locations. [Remediation Guidance for Major Airports after a Bioterrist Attack; EPA 240/R-02/005; EPA/600/R-18/164]
