Soil Bioremediation

Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-025971

The process of using naturally occuring microbes in the soil to clean polluted soil and water. In order for microbes to cleanup harmful chemicals, the right temperature, nutrients and amount of oxygen must be present in the soil and groundwater. If these conditions are not optimum for microbes, they can be augmented in various ways.
