1. Any person engaged in the off-site transportation of hazardous waste by air, rail, highway, or water.

2. Hauling firm that picks up properly packaged and labeled hazardous waste from generators and transports it to designated facilities for treatment, storage, or disposal. Transporters are subject to EPA and DOT hazardous waste regulations.

3. Means a person engaged in the off-site transportation of universal waste by air, rail, highway, or water. See 40 CFR 273.9 (http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/CFR-2012-title40-vol28/xml/CFR-2012-title40-vol28-sec273-9.xml).

4. Any person engaged in the off-site transportation of hazardous waste, used oil, universal waste, or medical waste.
