The Airline Transport Pilot certificate, the highest level of aircraft pilot certification. It authorizes the holder to act as pilot in command of an aircraft in air carrier operations. Pilots must meet stringent experience requirements, including a minimum of 1,500 hours of flight time, to qualify for this certification.
