Baggage car

A type of railroad car, without passenger seating, dedicated to the transport of luggage, parcels, and other freight on passenger trains. These cars are placed within the train consist, providing a secure space for items that are too large or numerous for passengers to carry onboard. Modern baggage cars are equipped with large side doors for easy loading and unloading and are built to the same structural standards as the passenger coaches they accompany.
