Centimetre

One-hundredth of a meter, a unit of length within the International System of Units (SI). It provides a convenient scale for measurements that are too small for meters but too large for millimeters, such as in manufacturing and component design. As a CGS (centimetre-gram-second) base unit, it is equivalent to approximately 0.3937 inches.
