Decametre

A unit of length in the metric system equal to ten metres. Although less common in everyday industrial measurements than the metre or centimetre, it is used in fields like surveying, civil engineering, and meteorology for measuring medium-scale distances and dimensions. One decametre is equivalent to 1000 centimetres or approximately 32.81 feet, and one square decametre is equal to an 'are', a unit of area.
