Double great primer

A historical type size in letterpress printing, equivalent to approximately 24 points. This size was commonly used for headings, titles, or text intended to be easily legible from a distance, such as in posters or large-format books. It is twice the size of a 'great primer' type, which measured around 12 points, reflecting a system of naming type sizes based on traditional body text proportions.
