A collarless pullover shirt characterized by a placket below a round neckline, which fastens with two to five buttons. It essentially resembles a polo shirt without the collar, combining elements of a t-shirt and a button-front shirt. The name originates from its use as the traditional uniform for rowers in the English town of Henley-on-Thames, first worn in the 1839 Royal Regatta.
