Hemi
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002818
An internal combustion engine design that features hemispherical combustion chambers in the cylinder heads. This shape allows for larger valves, which can improve airflow and volumetric efficiency, and positions the spark plug near the center for a more complete burn. The term is a shortened form of hemispherical and is strongly associated with a line of V8 engines produced by Chrysler.
