Match wagon
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003557
A wagon that accompanies a rail-mounted crane and carries its jib while the crane is hauled in a train, so the jib rests on the wagon instead of projecting over the track. It is also called a match truck. The jib is raised from the wagon before the crane begins a lift, and breakdown cranes normally travel with one.
