Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003782
An advanced process control method that uses a dynamic model of a process to predict its future behavior and determine a sequence of manipulated variable adjustments. At each control interval, the controller calculates an optimal sequence of future moves over a prediction horizon, but only the first move is implemented. This control strategy is applied in logistics for tasks like vehicle routing and inventory management, where it handles multiple constraints and objectives.
