Op-amp
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004004
A high-gain, direct-coupled voltage amplifying device with a differential input and a single-ended output. The operational amplifier (op-amp) is a fundamental building block in analog electronics, used in circuits for amplification, filtering, and mathematical operations. An ideal op-amp has infinite input impedance, zero output impedance, and infinite open-loop gain.
