Peel strength
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004211
The resistance of an adhesive bond to separation when a force is applied perpendicular to the bond line, attempting to peel one substrate away from the other. This property quantifies the adhesive's ability to maintain integrity under a peeling stress. It is measured in units of force per unit width, such as pounds per inch (pli) or Newtons per millimeter (N/mm).
