A technology for manufacturing electrical circuits by mounting electronic components on a flexible plastic substrate, such as polyimide. A Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) allows electronics to conform to non-planar shapes, saving space and weight compared to rigid circuit boards. They are found in utility field instruments, monitoring devices, and control systems where durability and compact design are required.
