Circuit board
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001123
A rigid or flexible base made of insulating material that mechanically supports and electrically connects electronic components using conductive pathways. Components are mounted on the board and soldered to pads connected by etched copper tracks, which form the wiring between them. A printed circuit board (PCB) with components on one side and copper traces on the other is the simplest form, while multilayer boards contain stacked layers of circuitry.
