To install electronic components onto a printed circuit board (PCB), either manually or through automated processes. The process involves placing components like resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits into their designated positions on the board before soldering them into place. A board with all its components installed is called a populated PCB, while a bare board without components is an unpopulated PCB.
