SMD
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005404
An electronic component designed to be mounted directly onto the surface of a printed circuit board (PCB). This method of assembly, known as surface-mount technology (SMT), eliminates the need for leads to pass through holes in the board. SMDs are typically smaller and have higher pin densities than through-hole components.
