Reverse intaglio
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004830
A printing or microfabrication technique where the non-image areas are recessed, leaving the image area raised, which is the inverse of traditional intaglio. In this process, a plate is etched or engraved around the design, and ink is applied to the raised surface, similar to relief printing. This method is used in specialized industrial applications like printing electronic components or creating microfluidic devices, where precise raised patterns are required.
