Single-Stage-To-Orbit: A type of reusable launch vehicle that reaches Earth orbit from the surface using only one stage, without jettisoning any major components. This design aims to reduce launch costs and complexity by eliminating the need for multiple stages and their associated separation events. While conceptually appealing, no fully operational SSTO vehicle has yet achieved routine orbital flight.
