Yoctolitre
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006716
A unit of volume in the International System of Units (SI) equal to one septillionth (10^-24) of a litre, using the international spelling of the base unit. This exceptionally small volume is used in theoretical and experimental physics and chemistry to describe volumes at the subatomic scale, such as the effective volume of individual particles. A yoctolitre is one thousand times smaller than a zeptolitre and represents the smallest standard SI prefix applied to the litre.
