Deep linking

The practice of creating a hyperlink that directs users to a specific page within a website, rather than to the site's homepage. While generally permissible, it can raise intellectual property or copyright concerns if the linked content is presented out of context or without proper attribution. Legal disputes have arisen over deep linking to subscription-only content or proprietary databases.
