Deposit policy

An insurance policy where the premium is initially estimated and a deposit is paid, with the final premium adjusted later based on actual exposures or experience. This arrangement is used for risks where the exposure base, such as payroll or sales, is not precisely known at the policy's inception. The final premium calculation occurs at the end of the policy period through an audit.
