Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-001155

A clause in a master or global policy under which the insurer pays the amount by which the master policy's limit exceeds the limit of a locally issued policy covering the same loss. It is used in multinational programs, where local policies can carry lower limits than the master, and it works alongside difference in conditions wording that fills gaps in the scope of local cover.
