Disappearing deductible

A policy feature where the deductible amount decreases or is eliminated entirely as the covered loss increases. This mechanism provides greater coverage for larger claims while still requiring the insured to bear a portion of smaller losses. It is commonly found in certain types of property insurance policies, such as homeowners or auto insurance.
