Aggregate deductible

A type of deductible that applies to the total amount of all covered losses incurred during a specified policy period, rather than to each individual loss. The insured pays all losses up to this cumulative amount, after which the insurer begins to pay. This deductible is common in commercial policies and self-insured retention programs.
