Innkeepers legal liability

The legal responsibility of hotel or motel operators for the loss or damage to guests' property while it is on the premises. This liability is often limited by statute, requiring guests to declare valuables or deposit them in a safe. Insurance policies are available to cover an innkeeper's exposure to these claims.
