Lenders loss payable endorsement

An attachment to an insurance policy that protects a lender's interest in insured property. This endorsement specifies that any loss payment for covered property damage will be made to the lender, regardless of acts or omissions by the insured borrower. It provides a separate contractual agreement between the insurer and the lender.
