Interpleader

A legal procedure allowing a party holding property or money, but claiming no interest in it, to compel two or more other parties who claim the same property or money to litigate the dispute among themselves. This action protects the stakeholder from multiple liability. It is commonly used in insurance claims or escrow disputes.
